Scuba Joe

July 28, 2010

Joe got his first taste of diving this past week after Mom and Alicia took to the water for Alicia's first ocean dive. As they came back ashore, Joe met them with his mask and snorkel allowing Mom to give his a taste of the full gear.

Then on July 26, 2010 at 5 years of age, Joe took his first dive under the waves with Dad. For a full 14 minutes, Joe and Dad swam the ocean floor looking at shells and searching for sharks teeth. I don't think there is anything more exhilarating than showing the wonders of the world to your little one, who is tucked under your arm with eyes wide open.

Not to be left out, Owen gets his turn in the gear. We have little doubt that this one won't wait until he is 5 to start chasing sharks ;)

You don't see water that colour in Canada. What an opportunity for the boys. Ohh for the Gulf. Ah.....Just dreaming. Is it time to work at making that dream come true? It always gets cold when I come down (or a hurricane blows in)

Apex is Updated

July 5, 2010

Over the last couple weeks I have been spending some of my time getting the Apex Software Solutions site revised. While there are still tons of things on my list that needs to get done, I think this is a good Step 1.

Please take a moment to visit and if you have any comments, suggestions, or run across any problems send them my way. I look forward to hearing from you.

The unveiling

June 27, 2010

So ... while we have been done the installation for weeks now we wanted to wait until all the painting and polish was complete and the tools put away before posting our final pictures. So now, here is our bannister...

We could not be more proud of how things turned out. The upper landing now feels open and free ... exactly how we wanted. Our persistence and Melissa's determination to ensure we get things right made it appear as if it were done by experts.

Thanks to all our friends and family for lending us insight and a hand when needed ... now we just have to figure out what is next?

Thanks Devin your truck, tools, ... and the hand!
